There is no substitute for resolution. Benefiting from low-level survey flying, dedicated low-noise aircraft, a non-magnetic composite boom platform, high speed synchronous data sampling and gradient sensor configuration, XPlorer™ is the most advanced gradient magnetic system on the market.

The XPlorer™ system offers three distinct advantages over competitors:

    ASTAR350 B-series helicopter platform:
  • Significant improvement to magnetic and radiometric data quality due to low survey height
  • Tighter drape results in improved terrain following - ideal in areas with topography
  • Ideal for high-resolution / ultra-high resolution surveys and target block follow-up projects

    Fixed boom mounting & horizontal gradient measurement:
  • Unique composite rigid boom mounting results in lower magnetic noise.
  • 13 m horizontal sensor separation enables measurement of the horizontal magnetic gradient which is then incorporated in gridding algorithms:
    • Better representation of line parallel features
    • Improved spatial positioning of discreet targets (e.g. kimberlites)
    • Overall equivalent to flying at a tighter line spacing

      XPLORER ™ MAGNETICS

    Hard triggered high speed data sampling:
  • Custom built DAS enables highly synchronous high speed sampling using a Rb atomic clock
  • Magnetics stored at 20 Hz (~ 2m sample interval vs ~8m for standard fixed-wing @ 10Hz)
  • Radiometrics stored at 2 Hz (~ 20m sample interval vs ~ 80m for standard fixed-wing @ 1Hz)
